About FormBro

FormBro is the open-source form platform for serious workflows, built by William Crutchfield through Clutchd, LLC.

The details

Why FormBro exists

Important operational work often starts in a form, then falls apart across spreadsheets, inboxes, and one-off scripts. General-purpose surveys are too shallow for the job, while enterprise workflow products add cost and complexity before a team has proved what it needs.

FormBro is built for that middle ground: teams that need dependable intake, registration, requests, approvals, and feedback without treating every workflow as a custom software project.

What we are building

The product combines a visual form builder, AI-assisted drafting, reusable templates, publishing, workspace collaboration, and structured submissions. Forms keep stable identities as their labels and copy change, and public responses are accepted only against an open form and its current published schema.

FormBro is under active development. The public application is the supported product interface today; a public REST API, OAuth application platform, outbound webhooks, and MCP server are not currently offered. We publish those boundaries so people and agents can choose the right integration path without guessing.

Open source by default

FormBro is available under the MIT License. Its schemas, compiler, React renderer, interface components, persistence workflows, and web application are developed in public. You can inspect how the product handles forms, report a reproducible issue, or propose a focused improvement on GitHub.

Our engineering rules favor stable form and element identifiers, authorization before protected reads or writes, accurate published schemas, and keeping submission contents out of logs, analytics, and error reports. Those constraints are part of the product, not just implementation details.

Who makes it

FormBro is created by William Crutchfield through Clutchd, LLC, an independent software studio based in San Francisco, California. Product questions, privacy requests, and responsible security reports can be sent directly to the studio.
